Cabarrus Arts Council

The Cabarrus Arts Council serves as the arts resource for Cabarrus County, with the mission, “energizing our community through arts excellence”. We distribute grants to local non-profit arts organizations; provide Students Take pART in the Arts professional performances for all students, K-12 and Art Enrichment for elementary school children; sponsor Pops in the Park, Union Street Live, Spring Into Arts Festival, and Kannapolis Concert Series; coordinate Art Walks; curate four galleries; serve as a resource for public art; and work with the chamber and CVB to attract visitors to Cabarrus County.

Volunteer Opportunities:
- Docents (guides) for the galleries and historic building
- Volunteers to usher at school programs
- Volunteers for Art Enrichment to take works of art into the elementary schools
- Assistants for hanging art exhibitions
